Welcome to the August & September 2024 edition of Compaction Catch Up, our monthly update on how the business is doing. Due to staff holidays and August only lasted a couple of hours we didn't get the August edition out separately so we are combining it with September.
- We have a few changes to the team with our long-standing Sales Office Manager Tina Hall announcing her retirement. She is counting down to her last day on the 31st of October. She will be training our new accountant, Luke Everly, to take on her financial-based responsibilities as well as several new responsibilities so we can handle even more in-house.
- We have a new sprayer and field engineer currently going through their training, we will let you know more about them when their onboarding is completed so we can show off some of their work.
- Our marketing team with the help of our Waste Management Specialist Steve Greaves have been busy getting things ready for the BIG Sustainability Expo that will be happening during the second week of October (read more about it in our October issue).
- Continuing on from the improvement of our hardware last year we have been looking into new software to run in the Operations Team. We are looking to make all our workflows leaner so we can focus more on providing fantastic customer service!
As you can imagine with two months worth we have plenty of interesting compactors that have been designed, built & delivered.
- Our engineers have serviced 210 balers and compactors.
- We installed 25 compactors and balers, across 18 sites.
- And ran 3 training sessions.
Here are some of our most interesting compactors and balers we have made in August & September:
- Rear Dock Loaded SC3000BL Static Compactor with Full Enclosure.
- This static has been positioned at a loading dock so the operators are able to empty their waste directly into the machine without having to leave the building. The enclosure ensures they will remain dry while doing so.
- Twin refurbished static compactors with chute modifications
- Twin SC3000BL Static Compactors with shared cage and our new WeighTec inline Weighing system.
- These two static compactors were dropped off at our workshop so we could heavily modify them before they went on to their next site. We needed to remove the hoppers and create the new style as seen in the photos and move the control panels to the opposite sides and create extensions (also called chutes) so they could be loaded from the building with access through a door in the wall and an extra set of controls.
- A nice light grey MC32 Mobile Compactor with Hydraulic Lid for a shopping centre in Windsor
- Helping a Hospice
- Hotel in the Cotswolds
- Food Van
