Installations

We installed four of our MC32BL Mobile Compactors at a busy shopping centre in East London in the early part of this year, and in May, we installed a refurbished horizontal baler.

We were asked by one of our trade partners to build an SC3000BL Static Compactor for a manufacturing site in Wales. They opted for a colour that would match their brand colours. It was the first time we have used this colourbut it turned out fantastic, thanks to our spraying team Phil & Callum.

Our trade partners seem to be giving us all the interesting colours this year! A refurbished Mill Size Baler in bright red for a wine supplier in Kent. We didn’t edit the left photo — that’s exactly how it looks on a sunny day.

The latest compactor we have installed for the University Hospital Dorset was a
refurbished MC14 Mobile Compactor at their Royal Bournemouth Hospital Site.

This was one of the more logistically challenging installs we have done. A shopping centre replaced their two RotorPacs and a HB550 Mill Size Baler with newer versions of the same models. This setup worked for them reliably for many years, but was showing its age. The loading bay is directly behind a bus depot that couldn’t be blocked during the day, so we had to deliver them late at night when the depot was quieter.

We refurbished a 32yd mobile compactor for a trade partner, but this wasn’t just a standard refurb — we upgraded it by replacing the powerpack with one from our MC32 model, enabling them to use SmarTec.

A company asked us if we could replace their static compactor. The site had a strange layout, with the car park entrance running alongside the compactor's position. The old unit used a rear-dock loaded bin lift, and after some discussions, we agreed that keeping this setup was still the best option for them.

Updates
Since the beginning of 2025, we have upgraded all new static and mobile compactors with SmarTec, enabling us to provide better service to our clients. We have found the biggest benefit for our partners is the fill level notifications, allowing better planning around collections with many sites moving away from regularly scheduled collections to ad hoc when they get a near-full notification.
Our Marketing Team got a new drone, as you may have seen on our socials, we are using it to show off our workshop. Eventually, we shall use it for more, once the pilot can fly it for a session without crashing it.
Our Field Engineer, Guy Saunders, got a new van; his previous one wasn’t old but had done a fair amount of mileage, but was continually experiencing issues, so it became cheaper to get an upgrade for him.
We have rolled out an updated financial software for our accounts. We and the other branches of Pearce Group use this software. There are still a few tweaks to make, but so far it’s working well.
We have had a couple of temp staff in to help with the digitising of our customer folder. We are on the last filing cabinet now, and we are expecting to complete the project within the next couple of weeks.
The Ops team have been training on a new back office system that will go live in the next couple of weeks. Once live, our IT team and the supplier will integrate both of the new software systems for a smoother, more automated experience across the entire business.
